Association of Kenyans in Burundi (AKB) with the support of the Kenyan Embassy in Burundi has operated since 2008. Kenyans from all sectors of the economy who live and work in Burundi as a diaspora enjoy the benefits of this well established organization. They come together to define their common agenda far from home.

AKB has organized many functions since then that unite Kenyans, these include but not limited to: Welfare activities; Football matches with its host (Burundian clubs/associations); Charity work and visit to orphanages; Get togethers (social events) aimed at fostering social ties of Kenyans in Burundi and a forum for members to share ideas & support to Kenyans under distress.
